Weekly Forecast: January 6-10, 2020 – Full Moon Eclipse In Cancer

king and queenAll week long, we’re dealing with a solid stellium in Capricorn. It starts at 8 degrees with Jupiter, strings through Mercury and the Sun, then sets up with Saturn moving into conjunction with Pluto at 22. Mercury and the Sun move from the middle to the last third of the sign with Mercury heading over the Sun just before the full moon opposition in Cancer.

The Sun sextiles Neptune late Monday, and Mercury follows suit Wednesday morning. Early Tuesday, Sagittarius Mars perfects a quincunx to Uranus in Taurus. Expect to encounter a lack of clarity in intention and declaration early in the week. It’s likely well intentioned. How can you explain what you can’t yet nail down for yourself? The elements of a plan are present – but inexact. Ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no lies. You’ll be glad you didn’t nail it down when things don’t move forward in the way you expected. And they don’t.

Early Monday’s Taurus Moon sets a stable mood, trining Saturn and Pluto. It’s stable, but intense. In the evening, the Moon moves to Gemini and an opposition to Mars. It opposes Mars as the Sun sextiles Neptune. Again, it’s not a great time to push for action, but you may feel driven by outside forces. Or you may be bored. Think about it. If it makes sense in an intellectual and intuitive way that is solid and recognizable, go ahead. Otherwise, wait till you’re not feeling prodded.

Tuesday, Mars pops its Uranus quincunx. Leave yourself time for unexpected events. The Gemini Moon spends the day moving into square with Neptune (overnight). Set an intention to be amused rather than confused. There are no dull moments and little explicable clarity. We’re tuning in, though, so listen – with your ears, to your inner meter and tuning fork. You may not be able to nail down the creative influx you receive, but document or record it in some way. Draw? Sing? Tie it to something creative. Discussion may work well now, but more to flesh things out than to settle their hash.

Wednesday morning, Mercury closes its sextile to Neptune. You mind and senses have been materially affected, tuned. Pay attention to what you can make of that, but it’s still new. The Gemini Moon now trines Venus. It’s likely that interest and curiosity will draw you right into something beneficial and interesting as a result. What are you wishing for?

Thursday morning, the Moon hits Cancer. First the Moon sextiles Uranus, then it quincunxes Mars. Some of the odd happenings early in the week will make more sense now. Oh that’s why! It’s also possible you get a chance to connect the dots in a more physical way, adding to what went before.

The Cancer Moon moves onto the north node and opposes Jupiter on the south node. We may feel very generous and at the same time compelled to resist that urge. Maybe the funds are tight? It may be we have some bills to pay and they just keep expanding. It’s also possible to find joy in our past and our memories, and have it bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Look for the way forward in that feeling. What does it mean for you now; what can it mean in the future?

Friday morning, the Cancer Moon trines Neptune: Moon in its own sign, Neptune ruling Pisces. Let the mood find its own level. All that wet emotion is vast and interconnected, and right for the moment.

Mercury moves over the Sun by midday, then the watery Moon opposes the earthy Capricorn Sun. The Moon is its own ruler in Cancer and the Cap Sun is ruled by Saturn. Saturn moves to within minutes of Pluto.

There’s an intellectual seed of ending, of death (metaphor), of finality; but Mercury so close to the Sun creates an ego blind spot. Fear may result, and it may be subtle but powerful. There’s an emotional urge to end things. I’d suggest further thought and discussion, particularly until Mercury gets beyond the Sun by a few degrees and past Saturn and Pluto. Watch your trigger finger – it’s itchy.

Remember how Mercury sextiled Neptune? There’s a gem of truth, but it may not be ripe or even discernible yet. Resist emotional declarations that could harm, the same with off the cuff actions. What feels real may not be the whole story. One thing is certain: there’s emotional tension in relationships. And the ego is headed for a hard reality check. Be humble. Resist acting out till you have the bigger picture.

The full moon takes place at 20 Cancer. Where does it hit your chart?
