Venus in Sagittarius is normally a good sport when it comes to trying something new, unique, or even a little weird in your love life. Let’s be honest: Uranus is a pretty strange planet, and the quincunx is a pretty strange aspect. This could be an excellent time to try out something new and perhaps a little odd to liven up your love life. This could also be a time when you find yourself throwing your affections or your money at something entirely inappropriate. Either way, try to have fun with it, because there’s worse news than that this week.

Just as last week was strongly influenced by Mars square Saturn, this week happens in the shadow of Mars square Pluto, which is also exact on Tuesday. The entire week is filled with the potential for explosive outbursts of temper and unexpected interpersonal conflicts. On the other hand, if you have someone willing to help you out with it, this can also be an outstanding aspect for a little frisky sex.

Despite all the warnings above, the outlook for the dating scene this weekend is actually pretty good, with a number of aspects that could help with some romantic success. Friday is the day that Sun trine Neptune is exact. That can make for some fuzzy emotions, and as I’ve noted here before, a little bit of delusion can be essential to getting a romance happening.

Perhaps more importantly though, we should note that an aspect that has been in place for a long time reaches its final exact peak on Friday. I’m referring to Saturn sextile Neptune. Being a sextile, this aspect hasn’t demanded your attention the same way that Saturn conjunct Pluto or even Jupiter square Neptune may have. But it is a remarkably useful and constructive influence. When you combine the structure and order of Saturn with mysticism of Neptune, it might not be too much of a stretch to say that this is a time you can literally make your dreams come true. Although as I often point out, the sextile is a particularly lazy aspect. Don’t expect it to do any of the heavy lifting for you. Go out of your way to make use of it!

No matter what you find yourself up to, keep in mind that Mercury is still very much retrograde and that your communications and agreements and short trips are more likely to get screwed up than usual. And because Mercury sextile Pluto is exact on Saturday, you may find you have the opportunity to make some real intellectual breakthroughs. Or, perhaps to make some real fumbles with what you say and who you say it to. As always during Mercury retrograde, think it through carefully before you pull the trigger on that angry text message or sign up for that new credit card that you don’t really need.
