Being Saturnian can come about in a few ways. If your natal Saturn is very strong, you can come across as a Saturnian person. This would come about if your natal Saturn is conjunct your Sun, Moon, or angular house cusp, in the 1st house, is a singleton, the apex planet of a t-square, is the most or least aspected planet, or at a critical or anaretic degree. You can also feel this with lots of planets in Capricorn or the 10th house, the sign and house Saturn naturally rules.

Strong Saturn in the natal chart can make you seem like someone who is an uber Saturn. You can seem much older than you age when you’re young, and much younger than your age when you’re old. You can be more mature and responsible, more wise and disciplined. You can be ambitious, driven, and focused on where you’re going in life. Having a strong Saturn influence can help you achieve and succeed with your goals, and often this can be prominent with successful people.

The downside of a strong Saturn is you can often feel very restricted and limited in your life, with your opportunities, or your thinking. Other people may demand so much from you – too much from you – because they view you as being able to handle it. Your strong Saturn makes you seem like someone who can handle all of the difficulties of life, but that’s not true. Everyone has a limit. But you may feel like you have to take these responsibilities on, and you’ll shoulder them quietly, but feel like you’re being held back. This can lead to resentment and outbursts over time, so it has to be worked on and worked out before that happens.

Often, you’re the one who holds yourself back though. This may be learned in your younger years, or simply something you feel on a soul level, but a strong Saturn often has themselves to blame for being one of their biggest blocks. You can tell yourself you won’t succeed, and so you don’t try. You can tell yourself you’re not good enough, and so you don’t give yourself a chance. You can tell yourself it’s silly and beneath you, and do you don’t let loose. You can come up with excuse after excuse for why you can’t do this, shouldn’t do that, aren’t capable of this, think that is stupid, but it usually comes down to fear and insecurity. A strong Saturn often suffers feelings of unworthiness and fear of being vulnerable. But these things gets in the way of you being able to live your life fully and achieve your happiness, so you have to face them and then get out of your own way.

When you can push through the downside of Saturn, you can manifest the positive Saturnian traits, and you can be looked at as wise council, respectable, thoughtful, and with incredible ability to do anything you set your mind to. Being Saturnian can be your greatest asset and put you above the rest if you can use it well.
