This has been coming for a while now, Aries, so there is no great shock about the departure, disappearance or epic demotion of a particular face, or organisation. I am sure you are not exactly surprised to see others coming up in the ranks, or at last claiming the power that was always potentially there. Similarly, those who needed to compromise and share the controls, the most, have been handed a stern instruction by fate. All of this is going to have a permanent impact on your career, social rank, part-time work, unpaid work, college or university life. This hasn’t even begun, Aries, as it will not be until the Pluto-Ceres conjunction on Monday 13th January, that you realise just how profound the new deal is going to be. You are by nature competitive, fearless and quick to act. This is normally useful for you, but as it is vital that both (or all of you) agree to disagree in 2020, and somehow fall into line with each other, try to avoid doing or saying anything now, which would impede that. Taurus: 6-12 January 2020
You will be looking at a map of your local area, or the world, very differently after this weekend. In fact, what comes to pass by Tuesday the 14th of January will transform your ideas about people or places which are foreign to you. This may be immigrants in your hometown, or people who are from parts of Europe, Asia, the Commonwealth or America you find utterly unfamiliar in every way. Taurus, there may be a book, website, journey, visitor, workshop or course involved – it depends on your personal birth chart. It is very important that you remain optimistic about 2020 as a whole, and all the way up to the second week of November, you are in a tremendously strong position. Gemini: 6-12 January 2020
Gemini people are as diverse as Kylie Minogue, Donald Trump, Jeremy Corbyn and Pauline Hanson. The thing that unites all of them, and you, this week is – financial transformation. The time has come to submit to something greater than yourself, as you go through astrological trends not seen in your lifetime. Forget the way things used to be with your accountant, paymasters, bank, house, apartment, valuables, charity, business – and the rest. There are larger forces at work here, like a force of nature, and it is very important that you look at the price you are paying for particular financial relationships, within the family circle (perhaps) and most likely with a former or current partner. Cancer: 6-12 January 2020
You must find a new way to balance the scales, between yourself and your former, current or potential partner. This is also true of your great rival, arch enemy or opponent. The scales (perhaps the scales of justice, or the law itself) must be balanced very differently. There is no swift or easy path to symmetry. Perfect harmony is a really high ideal and very hard to attain. Equality is also notoriously difficult to achieve. Yet, Cancer, in all cases you must do your level best to try and help with necessary levelling of the ground. There is really no question of ‘even Stevens’ about this situation, as it is too far gone for that. It is also far too complicated. Yet, given the activity in your chart on Sunday 12th and Monday 13th January, you must at least show willing, in the discussions about what is fair. Shakespeare knew all about the pound of flesh! The fact is, no matter if this is love or war, or just business – you are still a water sign. That means you are emotional by nature. The influence you have over a younger generation, and perhaps the one after that, continues for years. You know this, as a parent, godparent, aunt, uncle or grandparent. You also know this (perhaps) through your career or unpaid work. Babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and young adults can be affected by your words and deeds, en masse, or as individuals. The ducklings who become ducks. Now, you must take great changes on board which will permanently affect the influence you have, and the amount of power and control you feel is there. For some Virgo people this involves adoption, abortion or I.V.F. programs. In other cases, it is about child custody, a youth charity, teaching, or family politics. You will have your own story, based on your own personal birth chart. Try to accept the new arrangement which comes out of this weekend and will be reshaped next week. Contribute to it, as is your right, but ensure you claim your fair share of the controls. This may come down to time-sharing, to put it bluntly. Your heritage, history, roots, culture and family tree (both sides) must now be addressed, at the deepest level. Some people and situations must be released, as they are rapidly becoming history. In fact, hanging on to 2019 or 2018 and all the years before, is not an option. There is a tremendous carve-up taking place, right around the world, from Wall Street, across to the London Stock Exchange, over to Shanghai and onto Sydney. It is about big business and government, and also the elite. Do you own your face and name? Your wardrobe, accessories? The images of yourself? The painting of your public portrait? Of course, you don’t. Yet, after over a decade of playing tug-of-war with the internet, for a start – you are ready to embrace a completely different way of operating. Considerable control is up for grabs, on both sides – or all sides – and you must take your claim. Sometimes the issue on this transit is your physical appearance, in terms of ageing (for example) or weight, or things you cannot control, which may require a doctor’s eye. We also find common concerns – like shyness, bad teeth, social anxiety, baldness, glasses, or speech. Sometimes the issues are more serious. Job title. Letters after your name. Eponymous branding. Reputation! The current weather, all in your own zodiac sign, makes it very clear that anybody (or any organisation) which has dominated you, is going to move out, sideways or down. For whatever reason, this may be Facebook (face being a key word of any First House transit) or perhaps any newspaper, magazine or website requiring a head shot (head being the other key word of a First House transit). If by any chance you have been in a minority of people, attempting to control the majority, you may find yourself ‘Plutoed’ by next Tuesday. If that happens, the take-down will be permanent and you must carve out a new niche, a new image and look.

Little by little, the old order or hierarchy has been coming down. The old system has been breaking up. Not everybody has been up to speed with that and a great many people are still catching up. This has affected (and will go on affecting) work, money, family and relationships. We associate Pluto with the idea of hiring and firing. You sack particular friends and replace them with others. You fire a particular organisation and substitute it with something new. This may have been happening to you since December 2019 and perhaps it is ongoing. We have been in the most overwhelming Capricorn weather, which means any minority trying to control the majority (especially if it is a repeat offence) has to go. Downfall awaits. You may still be seeing this with your particular political party, rock band, therapy group, sports team, children’s charity and the rest. If you take apart what is going on now with your social media account, your friendships and any group commitments, you’ll see the politics as clear as day, even if nothing was ever particularly about that. If you played your part in trying to take away the power of most people involved, then you must now settle up, karmically and move on. If you have been frustrated by the elite, the most popular, the most blessed or special – socially, within a group, within the community – fate will also settle up. When that occurs power will flow to you.
