Weekend Love Forecast – COVID-19 | ElsaElsa

I live in Washington State where the first US COVID-19 cases occurred. I am a few hours away, but one of my kids lives and goes to school right in the heart of it. For privacy reasons I’ll just say that people I love are affected in a tangible and worrisome way.

I look at astrology from a “the glass is not half full of piss” perspective… at least. But it feels weird to just do the weekend forecast as usual. We need to flatten this curve, folks, so that the people who will need them will have respirators available. How is that reflecting the astrology?

Saturn is at 29 degrees Capricorn. Mercury is at 29 degrees Aquarius in its retrograde shadow. Saturday morning Mars closes its exact sextile to Neptune, and the Pisces Sun sextiles Pluto. Jupiter moves ever closer to Pluto as the worldwide death toll increases exponentially.

Saturn will make a move into Aquarius in a week, bringing gravity to public issues, both political and public health. The buck of responsibility can only be passed for so long. People as a whole are wanting a GOOD-BIG DADDY to take over. That’s unlikely to happen, but that’s the vibe in the collective. It’s more likely those that should have been the good-big daddy will see the consequences of their actions and we can move forward rapidly.

But for now, Saturn moves through the last degree of Capricorn and we are wrapping up details of what is already in place and chugging along. Mercury at the end of Aquarius will see the spread of those remaining details. Let’s try to be publicly responsible about how we spread with our communications and hygiene now that it really matters. There is evidence that this novel virus is most virulent just before symptoms are obvious, and immediately after. From what I’ve read (studies) it appears to lose the ability to transfer after eleven days (sometimes earlier). But facts remain in flux, so be aware of that too.

Taking care through community minded hygiene is good sense. It’s also likely with Mercury moving forward and heading into foggy Pisces where it has already traveled, that the numbers of infected will either catch up or be confused or obscured.

Mars, the planet of agency and action is in Capricorn ruled by Saturn and all things honor-bound and responsible. Mars’ sextile to Neptune (in effect all weekend) obscures action but also responds beautifully to faith and love. There’s opportunity, divine or hidden perhaps. It is the hallmark of mundane miracles.

Once I was driving up to the mountain pass and saw in my side mirror that my gas-fill door was open. I was totally irritated and had a big piss fit as I pulled over to fix it. It took me some time to get in control of myself back on the road. Ten miles ahead I encountered icy conditions and a multi-car pileup that had just occurred. You never know what dangers you are steered from. Mars-Neptune here brings hidden opportunity. Soldier on, but go with the flow. Trust the flow. When you fight it, you may be fighting your good fortune… Mars is moving into conjunction with Jupiter.

Friday night, the Moon continues along in Scorpio with sweet aspects to the Pisces Sun and the stellium in Capricorn. There’s an opportunity to get in tune with the deep and divinely timed aspects of this moment. It can be very satisfying, particularly if you’re able to translate that into personal, mundane pleasures. The Moon also squares Mercury, so there’s jangling news, communications, and senses. But isn’t that to be expected now? Do listen though, and open up to being informed and working it into the flow of your own life.

Saturday night, the Sagittarius Moon is a welcome bit of bounce. It quincunxes Uranus and Venus in Taurus. Instead of bolting from what’s unpleasant, find a way to coexist with it. Invite the elephant in the room to a virtual party. Large gatherings are verboten. It can be surprisingly pleasant and all that is required is the fire to follow through. Satisfy these novel requirements and fun can readily be had.

Sunday the Moon continues through Sagittarius, squaring Neptune then the Sun. The urge to escape is high, but the actuality of doing so is unsettling or unsatisfying. Accepting that (if it happens for you) can lead to a different kind of settling. Sadge and Pisces are mutable, and the mood can be manipulated. It’s a good bet that you can work on something that gets you into the flow without going off the rails. We sing, we dance, we love – no matter the circumstances – when we are open and hopeful and see life as a continuum.
